This book is not about a girl, or a spider, no matter what the title says. It is actually about a pig named Wilbur. Fern, (the girl in the story, not the pig), sees her dad with an axe and wonders what it is for. She asks her mother who says that it is to kill the runt that was born the previous night. Fern gets very mad about that. After plenty of begging, Fern's dad agrees to keep it alive but Fern has to care for it. Will this poor little pig survive, or is it already to weak?

This is a very good book, and I would suggest it to any age! I give this book four stars.😎Review by Truesmiley
