This is a book about a guy named Magnus Chase, son of Frey. Magnus was a normal kid once, but then the wolves came. Since his mom's death, he's been on the street. On his sixteenth birthday, though, things change quickly. A fire giant comes to find him, and he dies. The end. But not quite. Actually, Magnus goes to Hotel Valhalla, modern adaptation of the Norse afterlife for the honored dead. A mysterious prophecy reveals that Magnus must stop Ragnarok (doomsday), find the Sword of Summer, and rebind Fenris Wolf. Did I mention? He also has only nine days. With his trusty companions of Sam, a Muslim former-Valkyrie, daughter of Loki; Blitzen, a fashionable dwarf with a very stout heart, and Hearthstone, a deaf elf and rune-caster. Will they succeed against seemingly impossible odds? Read this book to find out.
This book is definitely five stars. There are so many different cultures blended in, along with Rick Riordan's usual perfect pacing and endless humor. It's a great read for all ages. Review by: UAC

This is a book about a boy named Peter and a girl named Molly. Peter, along with his other orphaned mates, sets sail aboard a ship. On board, there is a mysterious trunk, guarded day and night. Peter wants to know what's in it, but he finds his progress thwarted by the acting captain of the ship, Slank. Meanwhile, Molly, a first-class girl, also wants to get the trunk. But for a reason Peter never would've guessed. If that's not enough, a third party wants the trunk: Black Stache and his evil group of pirates. Who will get the trunk? What is even in the trunk? Will Peter be able to save the trunk from evil and keep everyone safe? Read this book to find out.
This is a really good book that lays the foundation for the story of Peter Pan. It's a bit of a mystery novel, but it also has lots of funny quirks. Plus, throughout the story, you'll start to see how this boy dressed in rags can become Peter Pan. This is one of those books that has suspense the whole time, and you'll never want to put it down. I rate this book five stars!

This is a heartwarming book about a robot named Roz, programed to be able to learn. In the beginning, Roz is in a crate on a cargo ship, during a big storm. The ship sinks, and all the other crates do, too. But, miraculously, Roz doesn't. She washes up on an uncharted (by humans) island, where the animal inhabitants live a peaceful and happy life. At first, all the animals are scared of her, even after she learns the animal language. They believe she is a monster. But it all changes after Roz adopts an orphan gosling egg, named Brightbill. The animals begin to befriend her, but will it last? After all, aren't robots designed to live and work with people? Or can Roz defy her former purpose and live on this island forever... as wild? Read this heartwarming book to find out.
I love this book so much. It is definitely one of my favorites; my star. I love the way all the animals work together to help Roz adapt, like Mr. Beaver (he helps her build her house) or Loudwing (she helps Roz learn mothering skills). This book deserves five stars and beyond. Review by: UAC

This book is about a girl named Coo. Its not a weird name when you were named by pigeons. Coo was raised her entire life with a flock of pigeons, they are her family. One day Coo's friend gets hurt and the pigeons know that only the kind lady that comes to feed them can heal him. As the pigeons show Burr (the hurt pigeon) to the lady, the lady thinks she sees a girl. That girl was Coo, hiding behind a bush. This book is about an 11 year old boy named Harry Potter who lives with his aunt and uncle and cousin, because his parents died in a car crash when he was little. Soon, he begins to get letters by owl, which his uncle Vernon burns. But then, a large man called Hagrid shows up and lets Harry read his letter and tells him he's a wizard. According to Hagrid, he also apparently was the only person ever to survive the killing curse, aimed at him when he was a baby by the horrible (and now long-gone) Lord Voldemort. Apparently, Harry blocked it somehow, and now he's famous in the wizarding world. Harry goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry through platform 9 3/4. He soon becomes best friends with Ron Weasley, and, a bit later, Hermione Granger. He is sorted into Gryffindor house, and learns unusual classes including charms, transfiguration, herbology, potions, and flying! Harry joins the Gryffindor quidditch team, playing as the seeker. He soon discovers something interesting about someone called Nicholas Flamel, and the philosopher's stone. Someone seems to be after it, and Harry wants to protect it. Can he save it, though, without being discovered by the teachers, especially Snape, and Malfoy, Harry's new arch-enemy? Read to find out...
This book is awesome, it has so much mystery, suspense, and humor, and it fits magic so cleverly in. It is my favorite book in the whole universe and definitely needs five stars or more. So, I give it five stars. Review by: UAC

This book is about a girl named Gillian Cobbler (Gilly) who is not exactly good. She lives in a boot on 2 Boot Way and is planing to pickpocket a few low-level royals. Little does she know that action will be one of the strikes that will send her to Fairy Tale Reform School (FTRS). At the school she meets headmistress Flora, the former evil stepmother, who seemed a lot kinder than when she was evil (obviously), as well as the school's magic mirror, Miri. Gilly makes some friends at FTRS and has fun at school. Who knows what will happen as she learns to be good. She will probably find out on happily ever after scrolls, but to see those, you will have to read this book.
This is in my almost favorite series so I kind of have to give it a five star review😍Review by: Truesmiley
