This book is about a Jewish-Chinese girl named Lauren who loves singing, she is also really good at it, so she tries out for the main part in a musical at school. After the auditions, everyone is talking about her audition! When she checks out the parts she is super confused. Why is she in the ensemble!? Worst of all her own best friend got the lead, although even she disagrees. When they ask the drama teacher why Lauren was put in the ensemble she gives the worst reason possible, she says that Lauren doesn't look the part! What does Lauren think about this?
