This book is about a girl named Lampie whose dad is the lighthouse keeper of their peninsula. Her dad, you could say, has quite bad anger issues and that is where the problem begins. Lampie's dad's leg had been injured, no, more like CUT OFF by pirates, and he did not want to climb all the stairs to light the lighthouse everyday, so it was made Lampie's chore. One day, as Lampie is getting matches, she notices that they had very few, so she makes note that she would get more the next day. The next day, Lampie plays on the beach until the sun starts to set. Then and only then she remembers about the matches. The wind starts to pick up and a storm is on its way. Will Lampie get the matches on time, or fail her father? You probably want to find out.
Every morning before school I just wanted to pick it up and finish it, and then when I did, I wanted to keep going. I'll rate this book four stars.😎 Review by: Truesmiley
